Partnering with Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge
By houseadmin Monday, 07 May 2012 15:09
The Richardson House is pleased to announce our newest business partner, Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge. When people consider placing their pets somewhere while they are away, they probably don't have images of plush chairs, fresh-cooked meals or television sets. Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge is not the pet lodging facility of yesteryear. Their Old Greenwood Paws Haus canine accommodations have comfy chairs, barn wood wainscoting and televisions. Designed to resemble the facilities at Old Greenwood, these suites really are the Cat's Meow (sorry dogs, couldn't resist). There is a large, fenced outdoor play yard and an onsite kitchen, where meals can be tailored to your individual pet's needs.
The Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge is a five-minute drive from The Richardson House, making it easy to pick up your pet for your day's activities. Instead of lodging your pet in your hometown before heading up, lodge them locally. This gives you access to your favorite furry family members while you are in town. Take them on a hike, to the lake or a stroll along the Truckee River. Lodging your pets close to The Richardson House gives you more time to spend with them.
The Richardson House and Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge offer a 20% discount on stays at TRH and TTPL if they are booked at the same time. Take advantage of this great discount for you and your pets. The staff at TTPL is happy to show you around the place if you want to check it out. As pet owners, we understand that it is hard to leave them behind. With luxurious pet accommodations awaiting your four-legged friends, you'll rest easy knowing your pets are being very well taken care of.

Annual Great Chefs & Wineries Fundraiser
By houseadmin Wednesday, 11 April 2012 04:21
The Richardson House has donated a weekend at The House to raise money for Lifehouse, a nonprofit agency serving over 180 individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco Counties since 1954.
Now in its 22nd year, this extraordinary affair has gained a reputation for superb food, wine and entertainment. Over 25 of the Bay Area’s best restaurants present a sumptuous array of culinary delights and more than 25 wineries from the finest growing regions in California are chosen to pour wine selections. Other libations include micro-brewed beer, champagne and martinis. After being welcomed to the event with a special etched wine glass and champagne, guests stroll under the warmth of an outdoor tent filled with an abundance of gourmet delicacies, fine wine pourings, live music and a silent auction featuring a dazzling array of items. At 8:00, guests are invited into the elegantly decorated dining room for a sit-down dinner, dessert and entertainment, including an energetic Lifehouse client performance and a live auction. The evening closes with dancing to live music performed by The Robert Vickers Orchestra.
